The Salons - Music, song and dance.

To accompany a cocktail hour or a dinner,
the salons of music, song and dance offer
a thousand and one variations on the vocal,
instrumental and choreographic arts of the Baroque period.

Music

The works of famous composers (Bach, Couperin, Boismortier, Corelli, Delalande, Haendel and Vivaldi) are played by our musicians on baroque instruments (viol, cello, violin, theorbo, guitar, recorder and flute as well as the harpsichord and the harp), in concerto or intermezzo formats.

Dance

This is repertory dance, the art in its purest form. Court and Opera ballets have been preserved in their original form since the beginning of the 18th century.
Selections include Les Folies d’Espagne, La Bourgogne, La Bocane and Aimable Vainqueur.
There are also small ballets: Minuets, rigaudons and gavottes alternate with forlanas, passacailles and chaconnes.
Finally, guests will have an opportunity to learn French and English country dances, reels and cotillions, for example, La Fricassée, Les Plaisirs de Marly, and many others.

Song

Solos, duets or trios, sung as intermezzos or in concert format.
Sopranos, countertenors and baritones sing works ranging from cort arias to lyrical tragedies.
Mozart, Lully, Haendel and Pergolesi are featured, as well as Lambert, Hasse and gastoldi.
